Today, we have a 9-game MLB slate on DraftKings, starting at 1:30 p.m. ET. Check out my favorite players, value plays, and stacks at each position! Our partners at DFSHero.com provide us access to their lineup optimizer and AI simulator, which we use to provide you with the best DFS plays daily!

SP:

  • Garrett Crochet, Chicago White Sox (FD:$10,900 | DK:$10,200)
  • Ranger Suarez, Philadelphia Phillies (FD:$10,200 | DK:$10,500)
  • Taj Bradley, Tampa Bay Rays (FD:$9,500 | DK:$8,200)
  • Matt Waldron, San Diego Padres (FD:$8,600 | DK:$8,000)

Notes: Suarez and Crochet are both in really good spots today. Suarez gets the weak-hitting Marlins, and Crochet gets the Rockies away from Coors. Bradley and Waldron have strikeout upside at pretty low costs. Interestingly, even at his high price tag, the DFS Hero Optimizer gives Crochet the highest value of any SP. The Optimizer also gives Crochet the highest ceiling on the slate.

Top Stacks:

  • New York Mets vs. Houston Astros
  • Toronto Blue Jays vsNew York Yankees

Secondary Stacks:

  • Chicago White Sox and Tampa Bay Rays

Notes: The Mets have been on fire and got a cushy matchup today against Dubin, who is only in the rotation due to injuries. The Blue Jays have a terrible matchup if you base things on a brand name, but Gerrit Cole has looked terrible since returning from the IL, and if it continues today, they will score a ton of runs.

C:

  • Danny Jansen, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,600 | DK:$4,300)
  • Francisco Alvarez, New York Mets (FD:$2,900 | DK:$4,000)
  • Salvador Perez, Kansas City Royals (FD:$3,300 | DK:$5,300)

Notes: I like Perez today in a matchup vs. a LHP. I prefer Jansen and Alvarez, who are cheaper and part of my stacks. The DFS Hero Simulator also likes Alvarez, giving him a 28% chance to 3X.

1B:

  • Pete Alonso, New York Mets (FD:$3,100 | DK:$5,100)
  • Vlad Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$3,300 | DK:$4,500)
  • Andrew Vaughn, Chicago White Sox (FD:$2,800 | DK:$3,600)

Notes: Alonso and Vlad are part of my stacks today and are both big power bats who can win you a slate. Alonso is the second most optimal 1B today on the DFS Hero Simulator, and Andrew Vaughn is the fourth most.

2B:

  • Spencer Horwitz, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,800 | DK:$4,000)
  • Jake Cronenworth, San Diego Padres (FD:$3,100 | DK:$4,700)
  • Jonathan India, Cincinnati Reds (FD:$3,000 | DK:$4,000)

Notes: India has had a tear on the plate recently. I have used him often during this stretch and will continue to do so while he remains in such a groove. The DFS Hero Optimizer agrees with me, too, ranking India as their 3rd favorite player at 2B today and their top option if you exclude players with multiple eligibility.

3B:

  • Isaac Paredes, Tampa Bay Rays (FD:$3,100 | DK:$4,400)
  • Mark Vientos, New York Mets (FD:$3,000 | DK:$3,900)
  • Justin Turner, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,800 | DK:$3,600)

Notes: I only have Turner listed because he is cheap and can be used in the Jays stack. Paredes has a great matchup against LHP Patrick Corbin, and Vientos is a juicy part of the Mets stack. Vientos has a low projected ownership today, too, based on the DFS Hero Simulator, which could give you leverage.

SS:

  • Francisco Lindor, New York Mets (FD:$3,300 | DK:$4,900)
  • Bo Bichette, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,700 | DK:$4,400)
  • Bobby Witt Jr., Kansas City Royals (FD:$4,300 | DK:$6,400)

Notes: This is as easy as it gets. We have three-star players here. Bo and Lindor can be used in one of my stacks, and Witt Jr. has been one of the best players in baseball this season. Remember that Witt Jr. is likely to be highly owned, though, and the DFS Hero Simulator has Lindor and Bichette both sub 10% ownership compared to Witt’s 16%.

OF:

  • Brandon Nimmo, New York Mets (FD:$3,200 | DK:$4,700)
  • J.D. Martinez, New York Mets (FD:$2,900 | DK:$4,500)
  • Davis Schneider, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,900 | DK:$3,900)
  • Harrison Bader, New York Mets (FD:$2,700 | DK:$3,800)
  • George Springer, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,900 | DK:$3,800)
  • Luis Robert, Chicago White Sox (FD:$3,400 | DK:$4,900)

Notes: The DFS Hero Optimizer really likes Nimmo today as well. They have him as their fourth-ranked OF. The others listed here are part of my stacks, except Robert. Robert, I am interested in today because he has heated up recently and has a good matchup against LHP Kyle Freeland today.

Value Players:

  • 2B Jeff McNeill, New York Mets (FD:$2,500 | DK:$3,000)
  • 3B/SS Isiah Kiner Falefa, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,700 | DK:$3,300)
  • OF Hunter Renfroe, Kansas City Royals (FD:$3,000 | DK:$3,400)

Notes: McNeil and IKF are part of my top stacks today, and their low price tag will help me pay for some of the big bats. Renfroe is in a good matchup vs. a LHP, and the DFS Hero Simulator gives him a 26% chance to 3.5X and a 19.5% chance to 4X.
