July 3, 2024

Today, we have an 11-game MLB slate on DraftKings, starting at 7 p.m. ET. Check out my favorite players at each position, value plays, and stacks! Our partners at DFSHero.com provide us with access to their lineup optimizer and AI simulator, which we use to provide you with the best DFS plays every day!
SP:
Zack Wheeler, Philadelphia Phillies (FD:$10,700 | DK:$9,800)
Gavin Stone, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD:$9,800 | DK:$8,500)
Davis Daniel, Los Angeles Angels (FD:$9,100 | DK:$7,500)
Notes: Wheeler is one of the best pitchers in MLB right now and has 30-point potential every time he takes the mound. Stone has pitched incredibly well for the Dodgers this season, posting a 9-2 record with a 2.33 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. Daniel comes with some risk today, but he is cheap and is coming off eight shutout innings with eight strikeouts in his MLB debut. His matchup vs. the A’s tonight cannot be overlooked. The DFS Hero Optimizer ranks Wheeler as their second-best SP tonight and Logan Gilbert as their favorite. I like Gilbert as a pitcher, but I don’t like his matchup against the Orioles.
Top Stacks:
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Colorado Rockies
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
Secondary Stacks:
Colorado Rockies vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Notes: The Brewers will be a very popular choice tonight because they are in Coors Field and have a great matchup against Hudson. The Dodgers are also in a great spot, taking on a rookie making his big-league debut. The Rockies at home in Coors are always interesting, so you will want to sprinkle them in across your lineups, even if it is just a three man stack.
C:
William Contreras, Milwaukee Brewers (FD:$3,800 | DK:$6,100)
Logan O’Hoppe, Los Angeles Angels (FD:$3,100 | DK:$4,200)
Elias Diaz, Colorado Rockies (FD:$3,200 | DK:$4,500)
Notes: I will start by saying that Dodgers catcher Will Smith is also a good option tonight. Contreras and Diaz can be used in my favorite stacks and are two of their respective teams best hitters. O’Hoppe is in a good matchup tonight against Estes of the A’s, and he is ranked as the number one catcher on the DFS Hero Optimizer, projected as the most optimal and the second highest ceiling at the position.
1B:
Freddie Freeman, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD:$3,700 | DK:$5,800)
Rhys Hoskins, Milwaukee Brewers (FD:$3,400 | DK:$4,700)
Jake Bauers, Milwaukee Brewers (FD:$3,300 | DK:$4,500)
Notes: All three players can be used in my top stacks tonight. Ohtani is also eligible at 1B, but I prefer to use him in the OF so that I can get Freeman into a Dodgers stack, too. The DFS Hero Simulator gives Hoskins a 20.57% chance to 3.5X tonight, which is why I prefer him over Bauers despite him being more expensive.
2B:
Brice Turang, Milwaukee Brewers (FD:$3,800 | DK:$5,500)
Brendan Rodgers, Colorado Rockies (FD:$3,100 | DK:$3,700)
Brandon Drury, Los Angeles Angels (FD:$2,500 | DK:$3,200)
Notes: Turang and Rodgers can be used in my top stacks tonight. I love Turang against any RHP as well. The DFS Hero Simulator loves Brandon Drury tonight. Drury has by far the highest optimal percentage out of anyone at the position and has a very solid 26% chance to 3X and 19% chance to 4X.
3B:
Ryan McMahon, Colorado Rockies (FD:$3,700 | DK:$5,100)
Joey Ortiz, Milwaukee Brewers (FD:$3,200 | DK:$4,800)
Justin Turner, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,800 | DK:$3,600)
Notes: Justin Turner is pretty cheap tonight, and he is well-liked by the DFS Hero Optimizer. They have as their second favorite 3B behind Jeimer Candelario. Because of his low price, Turner also has the highest “value rating” on the Optimizer and a 50% win percentage.
SS:
Ezequiel Tovar, Colorado Rockies (FD:$3,400 | DK:$5,000)
Willy Adames, Milwaukee Brewers (FD:$3,900 | DK:$5,600)
Edmundo Sosa, Philadelphia Phillies (FD:$2,700 | DK:$3,600)
Notes: Tovar and Adames are part of my stacks tonight, and they are ranked well on the DFS Hero Simulator. Edmundo Sosa is priced well tonight. He is being given a 29% chance to 3X and a 21% chance to 3.5X on the Simulator, and his expected ownership percentage is under five percent as well.
OF:
Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD:$4,800 | DK:$6,600)
Aaron Judge, New York Yankees (FD:$4,900 | DK:$6,500)
Christian Yelich, Milwaukee Brewers (FD:$4,500 | DK:$6,300)
Jackson Chourio, Milwaukee Brewers (FD:$3,300 | DK:$3,800)
Andy Pages, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD:$2,900 | DK:$4,000)
Josh Lowe, Tampa Bay Rays (FD:$2,900 | DK:$3,700)
Notes: Everyone except for Judge and Lowe can be used in my stacks. Judge is putting up ridiculous numbers every night it seems, and while he is hitting this well, you would be foolish not to include him into at least one lineup. The Josh Lowe play comes specifically from the DFS Hero Simulator. They are giving Lowe a 36.5% chance to 3X, 28% chance to 3.5X, and 21% chance to 4X.
Value Players:
1B/3B J.D. Davis, New York Yankees (FD:$2,200 | DK:$3,200)
OF Jake Meyers, Houston Astros (FD:$2,700 | DK:$3,300)
Notes: J.D. Davis historically has hit LHP very well, and he has even batted in the clean-up spot for the Yankees when a LHP is on the mound. Jake Meyers is in a solid Astros lineup, and with a lefty on the mound tonight, he could do damage. The DFS Hero Simulator gives Meyers a 35% chance to 3X and a 27% chance to 3.5X.
