Today, we have an 11-game MLB slate on DraftKings, starting at 7:10 p.m. ET. Check out my favorite players at each position, value plays, and stacks! Our partners at DFSHero.com provide us with access to their lineup optimizer and AI simulator, which we use to provide you with the best DFS plays every day!
SP:
Hunter Brown, Astros (DK: $9,000 | FD: $9,800)
Robbie Ray, Giants (DK: $8,200 | FD: $9,300)
Notes: The DFS Hero Optimizer projects Brown and Ray to be among the top-scoring pitchers on the slate. Both have excellent matchups against below-average lineups.
Stacks:
Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago White Sox
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Washington Nationals
Notes: The Royals and Diamondbacks have great matchups, and the Optimizer projects them to be the highest-scoring teams.
C:
Salvador Perez, Royals (DK: $4,800 | FD: $3,000)
Logan O’Hoppe, Angels (DK: $4,100 | FD: $2,900)
Notes: You can’t ignore these two matchups. Perez has the higher ceiling, and O’Hoppe gives you a slight price break.
1B:
Vinny Pasquantino, Royals (DK: $4,700 | FD: $2,900)
Carlos Santana, Twins (DK: $4,200 | FD: $3,000)
Notes: Following suit with Pasquantino as he is going to have a big night soon. Considering that he faces SP Jonathan Cannon, that could happen tonight. Santana is one of my gut plays as I think he will hit a homer tonight.
2B:
Ketel Marte, Diamondbacks (DK: $5,500 | FD: $3,800) Xander Bogaerts, Padres (DK: $3,800 | FD: $2,900)
Notes: Marte has been pounding the ball and has a great matchup vs. SP Patrick Corbin. The Optimizer agrees, projecting Marte leads all second basemen in scoring. Don’t look now, but Bogaerts looks like his Red Sox prime days. He’s been in multiple winning lineups over the past week.
3B:
Royce Lewis, Twins (DK: $5,200 | FD: $3,500)
Matt Chapman, Giants (DK: $4,500 | FD: $3,400)
Josh Jung, Rangers (DK: $4,000 | FD: $2,900)
Notes: Lewis is priced too low for a player with his ceiling. Chapman has a solid matchup at home, and Jung is priced about $800 too low because he just came off a 60-day IL.
SS:
Bobby Witt Jr., Royals (DK: $6,400 | FD: $4,300)
Elly De La Cruz, Reds (DK: $6,300 | FD: $4,400)
Notes: As I mentioned yesterday, these two dominate the DFS game and have monster nights. Witt Jr. has a great matchup, but De La Cruz will be lower-owned. FD players should be finding ways to play them both.
OF:
Randy Arozarena, Mariners (DK: $4,700 | FD: $3,200)
Jorge Soler, Giants (DK: $4,300 | FD: $3,300)
Lourdes Gurriel Jr., (DK: $4,100 | FD: $3,000
Notes: These mid-priced players have great matchups and have solid projected value.
Value Players:
2B Gavin Lux, Dodgers (DK: $3,200 | FD: $2,900)
OF Randal Grichuk, Diamondbacks (DK: $3,200 | FD: $2,500)
C Gabriel Moreno, Diamondbacks (DK: $3,400 | FD: $2,800)
OF Manuel Margot, Twins (DK: $3,500 | FD: $2,500)
OF Hunter Renfroe, Royals (DK: $3,600 | FD: $2,700)
SP David Festa, Twins (DK: $6,000 | FD: $6,600)
SP Ryne Nelson, Diamondbacks (DK: $6,300 | FD: $7,900)
SP Griffin Canning, Angels (DK: $6,700 | FD: $7,100)
Notes: Festa is a top Twins prospect who can bring the heat. He will be priced a bit higher by season’s end. Nelson and Canning have plus matchups, and these value pitchers allow you to stack both Diamondbacks and Royals. Lux has been moved up in the order and has been in FIVE winning lineups over his last 10 games. The price tag hasn’t caught up.
