SP:
Zach Wheeler, Phillies (DK: $10,500 | FD: $10,900)
Cole Ragans, Royals (DK: $9,800 | FD: $10,400)
Notes: The DFS Hero Optimizer projects Wheeler and Ragans to be the top two pitchers on the slate.
Stacks:
Arizona Diamondbacks
Colorado Rockies
Los Angeles Angels
Notes: It’s no surprise that the Diamondbacks and Rockies are projected to score the most runs at Coors Field. The Angels have the highest projected stack value vs. the lowly White Sox.
Catchers:
Salvador Perez, Royals (DK: $4,600 | FD: $3,200)
Logan O’Hoppe, Angles (DK: $3,800 | FD: $2,900)
Notes: Perez is projected to lead all catchers in scoring with O’Hoppe having exceptional value as the third.
First Base:
Christian Walker, Diamondbacks (DK: $5,900 | FD: )
Paul Goldschmidt, Cardinals (DK: $4,000 | FD: )
Notes: Walker is projected to lead all first basemen in scoring with a great matchup in Coors Field. Goldy has the most projected value for first basemen priced in the 4K price range.
Second Base:
Marcus Semien, Rangers (DK: $4,800 | FD: $3,900)
Brendan Rodgers, Rockies (DK: $4,400 | FD: $3,100)
Notes: Rodgers is almost a lock play at home at this price. The optimizer projects him to finish second in second base scoring. He has much more projected value than Ketel Marte who is projected first. Semien is projected third in scoring and is a lower owned pivot play.
Third Base:
Eugenio Suarez, Diamondbacks (DK: $5,300 | FD: $4,200)
Nolan Arenado, Cardinals (DK: $3,900 | FD: $2,900)
Notes: Suarez is priced up but is projected to finish first in third base scoring but Arenado is top in value.
Shortstop:
Bobby Witt Jr., Royals (DK: $6,500 | FD: $4,500)
Ezequiel Tovar, Rockies (DK: $5,200 | FD: $3,700)
Notes: I am paying up at shortstop for the top two projected shortstops. Witt Jr. can be stacked with Perez. Tovar is at Coors Field which is always appealing.
Outfielders:
Corbin Carroll, Diamondbacks (DK: $6,000 | FD: $4,100)
Cody Bellinger, Cubs (DK: $5,100 | FD:$3,200 )
Bryan Reynolds, Pirates (DK: $5,000 | FD: $3,200)
Luis Robert Jr., White Sox (DK: $4,300 | FD: $3,200)
Notes: Carroll is projected to lead all outfielders in scoring. The others have the best value at their price range.
Value Plays:
OF Jordan Walker, Cardinals (DK: $3,100 | FD: $2,500)
OF Andrew Benintendi, White Sox (DK: $3,200 | FD: $2,900)
1B Andrew Vaughn, White Sox (DK: $3,300 | FD: $2,800)
2B Zach Gelof, Athletics (DK: $3,400 | FD: $2,800)
3B Jose Tena, Nationals (DK: $3,500 | FD: $2,700)
C Francisco Alvarez, Mets (DK: $3,500 | FD: $2,700)
SP Griffin Canning, Angels (DK: $6,000 | FD: No Play)
SP Tylor Megill, Mets (DK: $7,700 | FD: $8,500)
Notes: These are among the top value players at their positions. The White Sox players make a cheap stack to fit in big bats at other positions. I think Walker hits a home run and is a player to look to every night at this price. Megill is the top valued pitcher on the slate.
