SP:
Chris Sale, Braves (DK: $11,000 | FD: $11,000)
Hunter Brown, Astros (DK: $9,100 | FD: $9,900)
Nathan Eovaldi, Rangers (DK: $8,600 | FD: $8,200)
Notes:
Sale averages almost 25 points per game, and the DFS Hero Optimizer has him projected as the top-scoring pitcher. Brown is projected next and will have a great matchup with the White Sox. Eovaldi takes on a good Twins team, but his ownership is projected to be under 17%.
Stacks
San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies
Houston Astros vs. Chicago White Sox
Oakland Athletics vs. San Francisco Giants
Notes:
The Padres didn’t fare well in this spot last night but are projected to score over 6 runs again tonight. The Astros have a great matchup vs. SP Chris Flexen and are projected to score over 5 runs and have the top projected stack value. Giant’s SP Hayden Birdsong has sometimes struggled, making the A’s an interesting cheap stack.
C:
Yainer Diaz, Astros (DK: $4,700 | FD: $3,100)
Kyle Higashioka, Padres (DK: $4,400 | FD: $3,400)
Notes:
Diaz is the top-scoring projected catcher, and Higashioka is in a great spot at Coors Field—no need to overspend at catcher tonight.
1B:
Matt Olson, Braves (DK: $5,400 | FD: $3,400)
Josh Naylor, Guardians (DK: $4,700 | FD: $3,500)
Notes:
Olson and Naylor have solid projections and are projected to be under 5% owned.
2B:
Marcus Semien, Rangers (DK: $5,000 | FD: $3,200)
Xander Bogaerts, Padres (DK: $4,800 | FD: $3,500)
Notes:
The optimizer projects Bogaerts to be the top-scoring second baseman. I like Semien because I think he has a multi-hit game against the Twins.
3B:
Austin Riley, Braves (DK: $5,700 | FD: $3,400)
Manny Machado, Padres (DK: $5,600 | FD: $3,700)
Notes:
Machado is projected as the highest-scoring third baseman. At lower ownership, I think Riley is a good pivot vs. SP Griffin Canning.
SS:
Corey Seager, Rangers (DK: $5,600 | FD: $3,700)
Jeremy Pena, Astros (DK: $4,300 | FD: $3,100)
Notes:
Pena has a great matchup and is projected to be under 10% owned. Seager lights up the Twins, a good stack option with Semien.
OF:
Yordan Alvarez, Astros (DK: $6,000 | FD: $4,000)
Jackson Merrill, Padres (DK: $5,100 | FD: $3,900)
Luis Robert, White Sox (DK: $4,300 | FD: $3,100)
Michael Harris, Braves (DK: $4,200 | FD: $3,200)
Notes:
Alvarez is my favorite spend-up play on the night. He is projected to lead all hitters in scoring. Merrill is a great option at Coors, and he is swinging the bat well. Robert and Harris are simply underpriced right now.
Value Players:
OF Victor Scott II, Cardinals (DK: $2,200 | FD: $2,200)
OF Chas McCormick, Astros (DK: $2,200 | FD: $2,600)
1B Seth Brown, Athletics (DK: $2,500 | FD: $2,500)
C Danny Jansen, Blue Jays (DK: $3,300 | FD: $2,600)
SP Hayden Birdsong, Giants (DK: $6,000 | FD: $8,100)
Notes:
The DFS Hero Optimizer has these players among the most valued at their positions. Birdsong will be in many of my lineups, but I will have A’s stacks in the ones that don’t.
