SP:
Carlos Rodon, New York Yankees (FD:$9,700 | DK:$9,700)
Chris Sale, Atlanta Braves (FD:$11,500 | DK:$11,100)
Bobby Miller, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD:$6,800 | DK:$7,800)
Notes: Rodon is the number one ranked SP tonight on the DFS Hero Optimizer. Sale is the number two-ranked SP on the Optimizer, and he has a great matchup against the Nationals. Miller is affordable, has a good matchup vs. the Rays, and is the number four-ranked SP on the Optimizer. The Optimizer also likes Chris Bassitt and Nathan Eovaldi tonight, ranking them as the number three and five SPs on the slate.
Top Stacks:
Toronto Blue Jays vs. Los Angeles Angels
New York Yankees vs. Colorado Rockies
Tournament Stack:
Detroit Tigers vs. Chicago White Sox
Notes: The Yankees lineup is one of the highest-scoring in MLB this season, and they have an excellent matchup against Kyle Freeland and a horrible Rockies pitching staff. The Blue Jays lineup is inconsistent, but I love their matchup tonight against Angels SP Jack Kochanowicz, who has a 6.53 ERA and 1.60 WHIP this season. The Tigers lineup is also inconsistent, but they have a lot of affordable players, and they’re in a great matchup tonight against White Sox SP Chris Flexen, who is 2-12 this season with a 5.46 ERA and 1.52 WHIP.
C:
Jose Trevino, New York Yankees (FD:$2,600 | DK:$3,200)
Alejandro Kirk, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,700 | DK:$3,300)
Jake Rogers, Detroit Tigers (FD:$2,700 | DK:$2,600)
Notes: All three catchers are value plays tonight and can be used in my top stacks. Rogers is the fourth-ranked catcher on the DFS Hero Optimizer tonight. The Optimizer also likes Yainer Diaz, Logan O’Hoppe and Freddy Fermin tonight, ranking them one, two, and three for catchers.
1B:
Vlad Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$3,900 | DK:$5,500)
Jake Cronenworth, San Diego Padres (FD:$3,000 | DK:$4,500)
Spencer Torkleson, Detroit Tigers (FD:$2,800 | DK:$4,000)
Notes: Cronenworth is the number two ranked 1B on the DFS Hero Optimizer today. Vlad has been on fire for a month and is ranked number four on the Optimizer for 1B. Tonight, Torkelson is a personal favorite of mine. He has big-time power, can be used in the Tigers stack, and should have 3% or less ownership.
2B:
Whit Merrifield, Atlanta Braves (FD:$2,500 | DK:$3,500)
Colt Keith, Detroit Tigers (FD:$2,700 | DK:$3,600)
Gleyber Torres, New York Yankees (FD:$2,700 | DK:$3,900)
Notes: Keith and Torres can be used in the Tigers and Yankees stacks tonight, and Torres is the number seven ranked 2B on the DFS Hero Simulator. Both Torres and Keith have over a 30% chance to 3X tonight. Merrifield is the number two ranked 2B on the DFS Hero Simulator, has a 39% chance to 3X tonight, and a 31% chance to 3.5X.
3B:
Max Muncy, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD:$3,300 | DK:$4,700)
Jazz Chisolm, New York Yankees (FD:$3,300 | DK:$5,300)
Ernie Clement, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,700 | DK:$3,600)
Notes: Muncy is the number five ranked 3B tonight on the DFS Hero Simulator. Clement has a 25% chance to 3X tonight and is one of the cheaper options in the Blue Jays stack. Chisolm is expected to be activated from the IL before tonight’s game and is a big part of the Yankees lineup when healthy.
SS:
Willy Adames, Milwaukee Brewers (FD:$3,400 | DK:$4,700)
Anthony Volpe, New York Yankees (FD:$3,100 | DK:$4,000)
Zach Neto, Los Angeles Angels (FD:$3,000 | DK:$4,300)
Notes: Adames is the number one ranked SS on the DFS Hero Optimizer today. Volpe can be used in the Yankees stack tonight, and I like him even more against the lefty Freeland. Neto is the second-ranked SS on the Optimizer today and has been on fire at the plate over the past few weeks.
OF:
Aaron Judge, New York Yankees (FD:$5,000 | DK:$6,900)
Juan Soto, New York Yankees (FD:$4,600 | DK:$6,500)
Giancarlo Stanton, New York Yankees (FD:$3,000 | DK:$4,800)
Riley Greene, Detroit Tigers (FD:$3,300 | DK:$5,000)
Kerry Carpenter, Detroit Tigers (FD:$3,100 | DK:$4,200)
George Springer, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$3,200 | DK:$4,500)
Dalton Varsho, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$3,000 | DK:$4,000)
Lawrence Butler, Oakland Athletics (FD:$2,800 | DK:$3,400)
Notes: Everyone, with the exception of Butler, can be used in my top stacks tonight. Butler has a 36% chance to 3X tonight and a 29% chance to 3.5X. Judge and Soto are obvious top options any night, but when the Yankees stack is a top stack, you really want to be able to get them into your lineups. Luckily, the Yankees have some very cheap hitters tonight, which will help you to make it work.
Value Players:
SP Keider Montero, Detroit Tigers (FD:$8,000 | DK:$6,400)
1B/3B DJ LeMahieu, New York Yankees (FD:$2,300 | DK:$2,600)
2B Will Wagner, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,600 | DK:$2,300)
OF Joey Loperfido, Toronto Blue Jays (FD:$2,500 | DK:$3,400)
OF Jesus Sanchez, Miami Marlins (FD:$2,800 | DK:$3,300)
Notes: Three of the four hitters can be used in my stacks tonight. The one who can’t be is Jesus Sanchez, but he is the number two ranked OF on the Simulator tonight and has a 39% chance to 3X. Montero is so cheap for a SP, and although he can be unreliable at times, he has pitched better lately, been very good in two of his past three starts, and has a great matchup vs. the White Sox.
