FREE 01/18 NFL Cheat Sheet: Top DFS Plays
January 18, 2025

Maximize your lineups with top picks and value plays for the NFL Divisional Round. From slate-breaking stars to sneaky sleepers, these recommendations, backed by the DFS Hero Lineup Optimizer, will give you the edge in GPP contests. Let’s dive in!
Quarterback Plays
Josh Allen, Bills $7,700
If the Bills want to advance, they will need a big game from Allen. He must rush for over 50 yards and throw for at least 250 more. The DFS Hero Optimizer projects his ownership at only 10%. I will take that, as I think he scores 25 plus points.
Jayden Daniels, Chiefs $7,000
Daniels is my favorite QB play despite the projected 20% ownership. The Commanders could score 30-plus points vs. a bad Lion’s pass defense. Daniels should be a lock to score over 20 points and could break 30.
DFS Hero Top Two Valued QB Plays
- Jayden Daniels, Commanders $7,000
 - Pat Mahomes, Chiefs $6,000

Running Back Plays
Saquon Barkley, Eagles $8,200
The Eagles will need to establish the running game, and I expect Barkley to get over 20 plus touches. If he reaches the end zone, then he should break 20 points.
Jahmyr Gibbs, Lions $7,700
Gibbs will easily be the highest-owned player on the slate despite the return of RB David Montgomery. Gibbs is the most explosive Lions player on the slate, and I think he is a lock to score.
David Montgomery, Lions $5,700
You can play Montgomery and Gibbs in the same lineup as the Lions will try to run the ball down the Commander’s throats. I have Monty for 15-plus points as he scores.
Austin Ekeler, Commanders $5,100
Ekeler had 11 touches last week, and he could get 15 plus if the Commanders play from behind. A TD, and he will make the winning lineups.

- Jahmyr Gibbs, Lions $7,700
 - Joe Mixon, Texans $6,500

Wide Receiver Plays
Puka Nacua, Rams $7,400
It is a tough matchup vs. the Eagle’s secondary, but Nacua is matchup-proof. Plus, his price should be over 8K, and we will take the savings.
Terry McLaurin, Commanders $6,300
As mentioned, the Lion’s pass defense isn’t very good. McLaurin could have 100 yards and a touchdown at a modest price.
Khalil Shakir, Bills $5,000
The Ravens are difficult to run against, so expect the Bills to pass a ton. Shakir should have 6 plus catches and will be in winning lineups with a touchdown.
Amari Cooper, Bills $4,400
You can play both Shakir and Cooper in Allen lineups. Both could have solid games and offer leverage when paired together. I expect one to score, so I will have Cooper or Shakir in most of my lineups.
Olamide Zaccheaus, Commanders $4,300
Zacchaeus could be the pivot of McLaurin at a low price. He does have two quiet games after having back-to-back 23-plus-point games.
Hollywood Brown, Chiefs $4,200
Brown has 9 catches on 15 targets in the two games he has been back. Now, he has had two weeks more of practice, and he could break the slate. I think he has a good chance to score and break 15 points.

- Puka Nacua, Rams $7,400
 - Khalik Shakir, Bills $5,000

Tight End Plays
Travis Kelce, Chiefs $5,000
It’s playoff time, which means it’s Kelce time. He makes big plays in big games, and I will ride him until I see otherwise.
Sam LaPorta, Lions $4,200
LaPorta has scored 13 points or more in five of his last six games. He should be priced closer to 5K than 4 K.
Dalton Schultz, Texans $3,300
The Chiefs are terrible vs. the tight end. Schultz had 15 points against them about a month ago and could have had more if not for a penalty. Schutz would be a big reason if the Texans stayed in the game.
