Usually, we are kicking off the week together on Thursday. However, thanks to a special two-game slate on Wednesday, it’s just a continuation of the fun. The Seattle Seahawks are looking for help from other teams, but they also need to win themselves as they try and keep their postseason hopes alive. They’ll do so tonight by traveling to Chicago to face a Bears team looking ahead toward next year. Seattle is favored by a modest four points with an over/under of 42.5. We have a lot to consider for Thursday’s action, so let’s jump right into some TNF DFS picks for Week 17.

Captain:

Zack Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks ($12,600 DK/$11,000 FD)

Sometimes, you just have to embrace the chalk. It’s there for a reason, and in this case, there are multiple reasons. The Bears struggle to defend the run, so that works in the favor of Zack Charbonnet tonight. With Kenneth Walker sidelined, the backfield belongs to Charbonnet, and he’s primed to take advantage of the situation.

So far this year, Charbonnet has had limited opportunities, with just 453 rushing yards while averaging 4.3 yards per carry. With nine touchdowns though, not only is he efficient, but it’s a good sign that he can find the end zone with ease.

Three weeks ago, Walker was out, and Charbonnet took full advantage. He gained 134 yards on 22 carries as a preview of what we can expect tonight.

Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears ($14,400 DK/$14,000 FD)

At times, it has been a bumpy rookie season for Caleb Williams, but it’s been a pretty solid body of work overall. Not all of the blame should be placed on Williams, and he does have three strong receivers to look for downfield.

Granted he has been tentative in taking chances down the field at times, but Williams only has five interceptions on the season compared to 19 touchdown passes. He’s adding about 30 rushing yards per game so that helps provide a few additional DFS points. More importantly, Williams has thrown multiple touchdown passes in four of his last five games. The hope is that he can continue to finish the season out strong on his way to a new coaching staff in 2025.

Flex Plays:

Jaxson Smith-Njigba, WR, Seattle Seahawks ($10,200 DK/$15,000 FD)

It’s become clear that the second-year receiver has become the number-one receiving option for Seattle. Jaxson Smith-Njigba has continued to emerge this season, especially over the last few weeks, and he certainly has our attention.

Last week, Smith-Njigba was targeted 12 times, and he caught eight passes for 95 yards. He’s now up to 1,089 yards on 93 catches for the season, and he’s primed to finish things out strong.

Keenan Allen, WR, Chicago Bears ($9,800 DK/$12,000 FD)

Over the past two weeks, Keenan Allen has more than made up for his slow start. He’s been targeted 13 times in each game with 82 and 141 receiving yards, as the production has matched the opportunity. More importantly, Allen has a touchdown in each game.

Geno Smith, QB, Seattle Seahawks ($9,400 DK/$14,500 FD)

While the Seahawks lost a tight game last week, Geno Smith, at least statistically, did a solid job of trying to keep up. He threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns, and the Bears should offer up the opportunity for a repeat performance.

With 3,937 passing yards on the season, Smith has shown the ability to move the ball down the field. In a solid matchup, that’s all you can ask for.

DJ Moore, WR, Chicago Bears ($10,000 DK/$10,500 FD)

While the Chicago offense has been up and down at times, DJ Moore has been consistent. While Williams has been finding his footing, Moore has been a consistent option for him. Over the last four weeks, Moore has caught 29 passes which gives him 83 catches for 826 yards and five touchdowns on the season. Even though Moore might not have the upside of others, there’s something to be said for his regular role.

Value Plays:

Noah Fant, TE, Seattle Seahawks ($3,600 DK/$7,500 FD)

The Bears have struggled against opposing tight ends this season, which puts Noah Fant on our radar tonight. His overall numbers, 39 catches for 394 yards, don’t jump off the page, but he has been consistent. There is a clear role, as a floor, in Seattle’s offense for Fant. He’s caught three passes in each of the last five games while being targeted 25 times in total. It’s possible that Fant will reach the end zone for the first time all season as the matchup allows for it.

Fade:

DK Metcalf, WR, Seattle Seahawks

The emergence of Smith-Njigba hasn’t helped, but it’s clear that DJ Metcalf has taken a back seat in Seattle’s offense. While the overall numbers for Metcalf are solid, he’s better for Seattle than he has been for DFS players.

Metcalf has 60 catches for 897 yards on the season with four touchdowns, but he’s been boring from a production standpoint. There have only been two weeks in which Metcalf has more than four receptions, and that doesn’t cut it for DFS.

TNF Prop Bets:

Zach Charbonnet Over 69.5 Rushing Yards (-120 on DraftKings)

We know that the Bears struggle to defend the run, and there’s no competition for carries in Seattle’s backfield. When he had the run of the backfield a few weeks ago, Charbonnet gained 134 yards, so this should be easily attainable.

Noah Fant Over 3.5 Receptions (+120 on DraftKings)

Plus money is where it’s at. We know that for the last five weeks, Fant has consistently caught three passes, so we know that part is spoken for. Essentially, we are asking for just one more catch, and this is a matchup that supports it.

Keenan Allen Over 5.5 Receptions (-135 on DraftKings)

Based on the workload we have seen from Allen as of late, this is a mark he should clear with ease. It also helps that this is a game in which the Bears are underdogs.
