FREE 8/14 DFS Cheat Sheet: Top DFS Plays

SP:

Robbie Ray, San Francisco Giants (FD:$11,200 | DK:$8,600)

Bryan Woo, Seattle Mariners (FD:$10,800 | DK:$9,000)

David Peterson, New York Mets (FD:$9,200 | DK:$7,300)

Notes: Ray is the number one ranked SP tonight on the DFS Hero Optimizer. His optimal score is nearly double the next-best pitchers. Woo has been great this season when healthy, and he has a good matchup against the Tigers tonight. Peterson is cheap and gets to face the Oakland A’s tonight. Peterson is expected to have a high ownership percentage, though. The Optimizer likes Alex Cobb and Dean Kremer a lot tonight, ranking them as the number two and four SP on the slate.

Top Stacks:

New York Yankees vs. Chicago White Sox

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers

Notes: The Yankees lineup has been on fire lately, and tonight, they face the worst team in MLB and should score plenty of runs. The Dodgers face Frankie Montas, who has struggled since coming to the Brewers at the trade deadline. These are two of the best lineups in MLB, and they both have great matchups.

C:

Will Smith, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD:$3,400 | DK:$4,700)

Austin Wells, New York Yankees (FD:$2,900 | DK:$3,900)

Logan O’Hoppe, Los Angeles Angels (FD:$2,600 | DK:$4,300)

Notes: Smith is one of the top offensive catchers in the league and can be used in the Dodgers stack. Wells has been on fire for the Yankees lately and is hitting in the middle of the lineup. O’Hoppe is the number three ranked C tonight on the DFS Hero Optimizer.

1B:

Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD:$4,600 | DK:$6,700)

Alec Burleson, St. Louis Cardinals (FD:$2,800 | DK:$4,300)

Jake Burger, Miami Marlins (FD:$3,900 | DK:$4,700)

Notes: Ohtani can be used in my Dodgers stack and is the number two ranked 1B on the DFS Hero Optimizer today. You can also use Ohtani in the OF and look to use Freddie Freeman at 1B for the Dodgers. Burleson and Burger are ranked number one and three tonight on the Optimizer, and both are threats to hit a HR.

2B:

Gleyber Torres, New York Yankees (FD:$2,600 | DK:$4,000)

Bryson Stott, Philadelphia Phillies (FD:$3,800 | DK:$3,900)

Nolan Gorman, St. Louis Cardinals (FD:$3,300 | DK:$3,200)

Notes: Gleyber can be used in the Yankees stack tonight, and I have a value play below that can be used in the Dodgers stack. Gorman is the number two-ranked 2B on the DFS Hero Simulator and has a 41% chance to 3X tonight. Stott is the number four-ranked 2B tonight on the Simulator.

3B:

Brandon Drury, Los Angeles Angels (FD:$3,000 | DK:$2,500)

Mark Vientos, New York Mets (FD:$3,300 | DK:$4,000)

Jose Ramirez, Cleveland Guardians (FD:$3,000 | DK:$6,500)

Notes: Drury is the number one ranked 3B tonight on the DFS Hero Simulator and has a 43% chance to 3X. Vientos is the third-ranked 3B on the Simulator. Ramirez is one of the best hitters in the league and is ranked number four for 3B tonight on the Simulator.

SS:

Anthony Volpe, New York Yankees (FD:$3,000 | DK:$3,900)

Mookie Betts, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD:$2,800 | DK:$6,200)

Dylan Moore, Seattle Mariners (FD:$3,300 | DK:$3,800)

Notes: Moore is the number three ranked SS on the DFS Hero Optimizer today. Moore is projected for under 5% ownership and has the best leverage score of the top three ranked SS on the Optimizer. Volpe and Betts are top options in my stacks today.
