8/14 LoL Cheat Sheet: Top DFS Plays

Wednesday’s early morning LCK slate has two best of threes scheduled. The first game has KT taking on DRX, and the second game has T1 taking on KDF. I am using the tools found on DFSHero.com to identify the best plays for this slate.

LoL Strategy

Just like with other DFS sports, LoL has specific build types that tend to be more successful over a long period of time. In these breakdowns, top stacks is what will be discussed the most. If you are new to LoL, I recommend reading the strategy article that DFS Hero provides, LoL DFS Strategy.

Wednesday’s Slate Breakdown

Game 1: KT (-525) vs DRX (525)

Notes: KT is coming off of a major upset over GenG on friday and is now taking on one of the bottom teams of the LCK in DRX. KT is highly favored in this match, and is one of the bloodier teams in the LCK. DRX on the other hand is the second worst team in terms of kills per minute, which generally leads to lower scores. I will still be targeting this game for my 4 man stacks because the next game has the lowest and 3rd lowest kill score teams in the LCK. I will be mostly targeting KT in this game because they are heavily favored, but as it is the end of the split and more wild things happen I will have 5-10% of DRX. If you are playing a Single Entry, I would focus on a KT 4 man.

Target Plays:

KT

  • Bdd (Mid - $7,600)
  • Deft (Bot - $7,800)
  • PerfecT (Top - $6,400)

DRX

  • BeryL (Sup - $6,000)

Game 2: KDF (375) vs. T1 (-375)

Notes: T1 is the most historic team in the LCK with the most historic player (Faker). They have not had a very good split this summer, though. Despite that, they should still have an easy time with KDF in the match tomorrow morning. If you keep up with these breakdowns, you will notice that the first three sentences are the exact same thing that I said about T1 on Friday (replacing KDF with NS), and NS upset T1 2-0. I write that to let you know that while I am taking more T1 than KDF, I will absolutely take some KDF. T1 has not been themselves this split, and KDF are fighting for playoff placement while having a better split this year. I still won’t be getting as many 4 man stacks this game because these teams average lower DK scores because they play much more slowly than KT does in the first game.

Target Plays:

T1

  • Zeus (Top - $6,200)
  • Oner (Jng - $7,000)
  • Keria (Sup - $5,800)

KDF

  • BuLLDoG (Mid - $6,800)
  • Leaper (ADC - $7,000)
  • Cuzz (JNG - $6,600)

Target Captains -

KT

  • Pyosik ($10,800)
  • Bdd ($11,400)

DRX

  • Teddy ($9,900)

T1

  • Oner ($10,500)
  • Faker ($10,800)

KDF

  • Cuzz ($9,900)
  • Leaper ($10,500)
