SP:

Paul Skenes, Pirates (DK: $10,300 | FD: $11,300)

Gerritt Cole, Yankees (DK: $8,600 | FD: $9,100)

Notes:

Skenes has the highest upside, and the DFS Hero Optimizer projects him as the top-scoring pitcher on the slate. The Mets tagged Cole in his last start but did have two stellar starts before that. He has the pedigree and is projected to finish second in pitcher scoring.

Stacks

New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox

Chicago White Sox vs. Minnesota Twins

Notes:

The Optimizer projects the Yankees to lead the slate in scoring with a projected 5.86 runs. The Twins are projected to finish second, but I think they may finish first, considering they face SP Chris Flexen and a bad White Sox bullpen. The White Sox are risky, but they can take down a slate with their low projected ownership if they hit. The Optimizer projects them to have the most value.

C:

William Contreras, Brewers (DK: $5,000 | FD: $3,200)

Austin Wells, Yankees (DK: $3,900 | FD: $3,000)

Notes:

The Optimizer projects that Contreras will lead all catchers in scoring, with Wells in the top 3.

1B:

Matt Olson, Braves (DK: $4,900 | FD: $3,400)

Jose Miranda, Twins (DK: $4,200 | FD: $3,100)

Notes:

Olson has been hitting more home runs lately, and I think the Braves could score a bunch vs. SP Edward Cabrera. Miranda hasn’t shown much power lately, but he has it. He can win a slate at this price.

2B:

Jose Altuve, Astros (DK: $5,000 | FD: $3,600)

Notes:

Altuve is the only second baseman I want to pay up for. Otherwise, I think it is best to spend up elsewhere and make value plays at this position.

3B:

Royce Lewis, Twins (DK: $5,300 | FD: $4,200)

Austin Riley, Braves (DK: $5,100 | FD: $3,500)

Notes:

Lewis has a great matchup and is projected to be the top-scoring third baseman. He is my personal favorite player, as I think he homers. Riley is projected second, and as mentioned, I think the Braves can tag SP Edward Cabrera.

SS:

Bobby Witt Jr., Royals (DK: $6,500 | FD: $4,500)

Gunnar Henderson, Orioles (DK: $6,300 | FD: $4,300)

Notes:

There is a big discrepancy among the top 3 shortstops compared to the rest. This is the position that I will consistently spend up for, and the Optimizer projects these two to be near the top of all shortstops.

OF:

Aaron Judge, Yankees (DK: $6,700 | FD: $4,900)

Byron Buxton, Twins (DK: $4,800 | FD: $3,400)

Colton Cowser, Orioles (DK: $4,400 | FD: $3,200)

Josh Lowe, Rays (DK: $3,900 | FD: $3,200)

Notes:

Judge is out of this planet and is projected to lead all hitters in scoring. He has enough value to be in your lineups. Buxton is projected to finish third, giving him solid value.

Value Players:

2B Jackson Holliday, Orioles (DK: $3,200 | FD: $2,500)

2B Gleyber Torres, Yankees (DK: $3,400 | FD: $2,700)

SS Brooks Lee, Twins (DK: $3,500 | FD: $2,700)

C Freddy Fermin, Royals (DK: $3,600 | FD: No Play)

OF Jackson Chourio, Brewers (DK: $3,600 | FD: $2,800)

OF Trevor Larnach, Twins (DK: $3,700 | FD: $2,600)

OF Matt Wallner, Twins (DK: $3,800 | FD: $2,900)

SP Ryne Nelson, Diamondbacks (DK: $5,900 | FD: $8,400)

SP Mitchell Parker, Nationals (DK: $6,100 | FD: $8,100)

SP Simeon Woods Richardson, Twins (DK: $7,100 | FD: $8,900)

Notes:

Ryne Nelson’s price is absurdly low for a pitcher with three tournament-winning performances over his last five starts. Woods Richardson has a tasty matchup against an inept White Sox lineup. I am banking on the Twins value hitters to come through vs. SP Chris Flexen. Chourio has 8 multi-hit games out of his last 12. He is starting to show why he is a top MLB prospect. Torres, Fermin, and Holliday should be lower-owned one-off or pivot plays.
