FREE 7/23 LoL Cheat Sheet: Top DFS Plays
July 22, 2024

Tuesday’s early morning LPL slate has two good best of threes scheduled. The first game has BLG vs WBG, and the second game has Top Esports taking on NIP. I am using the tools found on DFSHero.com to identify the best plays for this slate. This slate is pretty straightforward on the surface, but let’s see if we can find some differentiation spots.
LoL Strategy
Just like with other DFS sports, LoL has specific build types that tend to be more successful over a long period of time. In these breakdowns, top stacks is what will be discussed the most. If you are new to LoL, I recommend reading the strategy article that DFS Hero provides, LoL DFS Strategy.
Tuesday’s Slate Breakdown
Game 1: BLG (-382.5) vs WBG (382.5)
Notes: If you are looking for a differentiation spot, this game is the target for tomorrow morning. While BLG is favored, and I fully expect them to win, WBG has been looking better in the group stage than they did in placements and they have good pedigree on their roster. If you are playing BLG, I would focus on ELK/ON and get pieces of either Knight or Bin. I would be very wary of Xun as well. The starting lineups haven’t been released yet, but Xun was replaced with Wei mid way through last match, which could ruin your lineup - I’m going to recommend Bin captain if you don’t want the risk and you are trying to pair with TES. If you are looking for the upset, I would target Xiahou and Breathe.
Target Plays:
BLG
- Elk (Bot - $7,800)
- ON (Sup - $6,000)
- Knight (Mid - $7,400)
WBG
- Xiaohu (Mid - $6,400)
- Breathe (Top - $5,400)
- Crisp (Sup - $5,600)
Game 2: TES (-562.5) vs. NIP (562.5)
Notes: Not going to beat around the bush on this one. NIP have been absolutely horrible since the placements. They have been poor in landing, and lacked cohesion outside of the landing phase, and while Top sputtered out of the gates, they have looked much better in their last two series. I would look to 4 stack TES for tomorrow and not think too hard about it. Side note: NIP has picked up Leyan (JNG) - so check the starting lineups if you are going to play any NIP lineups to make sure AKI is starting.
Target Plays:
TES
- Meiko (Sup - $6,200)
- 369 (Top - $6,200)
- JackeyLove (Bot - $7,600)
NIP
- Rookie (Mid - $6,600)
Target Captains
BLG
- Knight ($11,100)
- Bin ($9,600)
WBG
- Xiaohu ($9,600)
- Light ($10,800)
TES
- JackeyLove ($11,400)
- Creme ($10,500)
NIP
- Photic ($10,500)
- Rookie ($9,900)
