7/30 LoL Cheat Sheet: Top DFS Plays
July 30, 2024
Tuesday’s early morning LPL slate has two good best of threes scheduled. The first game has LGD vs NIP, and the second game has AL taking on BLG. I am using the tools found on DFSHero.com to identify the best plays for this slate. This slate is pretty straightforward on the surface, but let’s see if we can find some differentiation spots.
LoL Strategy
Just like with other DFS sports, LoL has specific build types that tend to be more successful over a long period of time. In these breakdowns, top stacks is what will be discussed the most. If you are new to LoL, I recommend reading the strategy article that DFS Hero provides, LoL DFS Strategy.
Tuesday’s Slate Breakdown
Game 1: LGD (167.5) vs NIP (-167.5)
Notes: This game has the two bottom of the barrel teams in the top bracket facing each other. LGD and NIP are both winless in the bracket, though NIP looked much better in their last series. Because of that, I am going to prioritize NIP on this slate, though I will have shares of LGD to differentiate in my 20 max. Rookie has been the major carry for NIP so I will be prioritizing him on this slate. Also, Leyan is the starter in the jungle for NIP tomorrow morning. This is the first time he has played all split for an LPL team, but he is cheaper than Meteor and Aki so I will be prioritizing him as well. If you are looking to get different, Haichao and Meteor will be my two targets for LGD when I am building their lines.
Target Plays:
NIP
- Rookie (Mid - $7,200)
- Leyan (Jng - $6,400)
- shanji (Top - $6,200)
LGD
- haichao (Mid - $7,000)
- Meteor (Jng - $6,400)
- Shaoye (ADC - $7,000)
Game 2: BLG (-382.5) vs. AL (382.5)
Notes: AL was a revelation after the placement stage. They looked like potentially the 4th best team in the LPL, but unfortunately haven’t been able to live up to it as much in the upper bracket play. They get probably the hardest test for them tomorrow morning as they match up against BLG. AL is still a really good team, so I would not be surprised if an upset happens, but as the odds suggest, it is a tough proposition. I am going to be building BLG stacks the most, but I sprinkle one or two AL stacks to get very different. Both of the games in the morning should be bloody, so I won’t be prioritizing one 4 stack over another, but letting the tools guide what I am playing.
Target Plays:
BLG
- Bin (Top - $6,400)
- Knight (Mid - $7,400)
- Elk (ADC - $7,800)
AL
- Ale (Top - $5,600)
- Kael (Sup - $5,400)
