The Scouting list has three parts: the search box, Your watchlist, and Featured pros. Every plan sees the featured pros. Power opens the search, the watchlist, and the reports. See What is Scouting.
Featured pros
Featured pros is a list of well-known DFS players that DFS Hero picks. Each pro shows as a card.
| Part of the card | What it means |
|---|---|
| Initials | The first two letters of the name, on the color of the sport the pro plays most. |
| Name and line under it | The name, the sports the pro played, and the last day the pro played. |
| DK and FD | The site the card shows. A pro with a name on both sites has a switch. Click the other site to turn the whole card to it. |
| Bookmark | Saves the pro to your watchlist. A filled bookmark means the pro is on your watchlist. |
| TOP 1% | The pro's top 1% finishes as a multiple of a random entry's in the same contests. The small numbers give the counts, for example 8 vs 4.7. The bar fills to the pro's count, and the tick marks the count of a random entry. |
| CONTESTS, ENTRIES, ROI | The tracked contests, the entries in them, and the net as a share of the entry fees, on the site the card shows. |
A site with no tracked contests since October 2 shows one line in place of the numbers, and that pro moves to the end of the list.
Click a card to open the pro's report on the site the card shows. See Read a Scouting report.
Look up a username
- Click the search box, Look up any DraftKings or FanDuel username.
- Type the name as the site shows it. Case does not matter.
- Click Look up or press Enter.
- Read the results. You get one row for each site where the name played since October 2, with its contests, entries, ROI, and top 1% finishes. A name that a featured pro holds shows a Featured badge.
- Click Open report on a featured pro. On any other name, click Save and build report.
Save and build report saves the name to your watchlist and opens its report. A report needs the name's own lineups, and DFS Hero reads them only for a saved name. The report shows Building the report while DFS Hero reads the name's contests, and the page checks again every 20 seconds. A name with more contests takes longer.
When no saved contest holds the name, the result reads No tracked contests since October 2. Check the spelling against the site.
Your watchlist
Your watchlist keeps up to 10 names. A saved name stays up to date: each new contest board adds to it.
To save a name, do one of these:
- Click the bookmark on a featured pro's card.
- Click Save at the top of a report.
- Click Save and build report on a search result.
The watchlist is a table, with one row for each site of a save. A featured pro with a DraftKings name and a FanDuel name takes two rows under one name.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The saved name. |
| Site | DraftKings or FanDuel. Click it to open that site's report. |
| Sports | The sports the name played on that site. |
| Last played | The last day the name played on that site. |
| Contests, Entries | The tracked contests and the entries in them. |
| Net, ROI | Payout minus entry fees, and the net as a share of the entry fees. |
| Top 1% | The top 1% finishes beside a random entry's, as counts and as a multiple. |
- Click a row to open that site's report.
- A Building badge means DFS Hero still reads the name's contests.
- A site with no contests since October 2 reads No contests.
- On a phone the table keeps Name, Site, ROI, and Top 1%.
Remove a name
- Click the X at the end of the name's row. One click removes every row of the save.
- On a report, click Saved. The button turns back to Save.
When the watchlist holds 10 names, Save is off and its tooltip says "Your watchlist is full. Remove a save to add another."
