Credits are money on your DFS Hero account that comes off your next invoice. You do not buy credits and you do not spend them inside the app. DFS Hero adds them when you take part in Hero contests on DraftKings, when you are active on Discord, and every month you stay on the Power monthly plan through the Hero Streak.
Where the balance shows
Open Settings > Subscription to see your credit balance and total earned amount in the Available Credits card. The Dashboard shows the same two numbers. When billing cannot be reached, the card shows "Currently unavailable"; refresh the page.
How you earn credits

There is no button to buy credits and no code to redeem. Hero Chat, Hero IQ, Playbooks, and cloud builds do not consume credits.
How credits apply
On renewal, DFS Hero takes the credit off the invoice first and charges your card for the rest. A credit larger than one invoice carries over to the invoices after that. You never need to click anything. The reduction shows on the invoice and in Billing History.
The Hero Streak
The Hero Streak rewards you for staying on the Power monthly plan. Every full month you complete adds $5 to your monthly credit, up to $30 from month 6 on.

Each credit lands after the month completes and applies to the bill that follows. From month 6 you hold the Veteran Rate: $30 off every renewal for as long as the streak lives. The plan card on the Subscription page and the Dashboard credits strip show your current month and the next credit date. DFS Hero emails you when a credit lands and when you reach the Veteran Rate.
What keeps the streak alive and what ends it:
- A pause freezes the streak.
- A cancel, a lapsed payment, or any move off Power monthly resets the streak to zero. The plan change dialog warns you before you confirm.
- If you cancel, click Keep My Subscription before the end date to keep the streak. After that date it resets to zero.
- A move from Essential to Power monthly starts a new streak.
Tips
- Pause, never cancel, for a short break. A pause freezes the streak; a cancel resets it.
- Stay on monthly billing if the streak matters to you. From month 6 the effective price is $119.95, close to the 6-month plan's monthly rate, and you keep the freedom to stop any month.
- Link Discord under Settings > Security so your Discord activity counts toward level credits. See Security.
Troubleshooting
"Currently unavailable" with "We could not reach billing just now. Refresh to try again." : the billing service did not answer. Your balance is safe. Refresh the page.
"n/a" on the Dashboard credits strip : the same billing timeout. Refresh, or open the Subscription page.
"Your {N}-month Hero Streak resets." in the plan change dialog : the change you are about to confirm moves you off Power monthly. Cancel the dialog to keep the streak.
"Hero Streak: month 1 in progress" does not change after a renewal : the credit lands after the month completes, on the bill that follows. Wait for the next renewal date on the plan card.
