Most questions are answered on this Help Center or in the Discord, where the team and the community talk every day. For a billing question, a bug, or feedback, the contact form reaches the team directly.
The help button in the top bar
On desktop, click Help & updates (the question-mark button) in the top bar. A badge on it counts unread news and messages, and adds one while your Hero Academy First slate track is open. On a phone, tap your avatar and use the Help & Updates row in the drawer.
The panel opens on the Help tab. It has these tabs:
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Help | This Help Center inside the app. Search every article, browse the collections, and read an article without leaving your slate. A link inside an article opens in the panel too. Open in a new tab shows the same page on the website. |
| Academy | The Hero Academy lessons, in four tracks, with your First slate progress. See Hero Academy. |
| News | Product updates from the team. Check it after an update; a change you did not expect is usually explained there. |
| Messages | Tips and announcements addressed to you. |
The panel keeps your place. Close it to try a step on your slate, then open it again to return to the same article.
A Join the DFS Hero Discord bar sits at the bottom of every tab. In the avatar drawer, Help Center opens the same Help tab, and Discord opens the Discord.
Discord
The DFS Hero Discord is at https://discord.gg/dfshero. Announcements, known issues, and fixes post there first, so join it to hear about a change the moment it ships. The team reads it every day, and feature ideas move fastest there. Ask strategy and settings questions here; other players answer those faster than a support ticket. Link your Discord account under Settings > Security > Connected Accounts to unlock the community features. See Security.
The contact form
The public page at /contact-us takes your name, an email address for the reply, a topic (Billing, Technical issue, General question, or Feedback), and a message. The team replies to most messages within a day.
Use the form for anything about your subscription or a charge; only the team can see your account details. A cancellation does not need the form: the Cancel button on the Subscription page handles it. See Manage your subscription.
What to include in a report
A report with these details is usually fixed without a follow-up question:
- The exact message on screen, copied or as a screenshot. Every message in this Help Center is quoted exactly, so the message alone often names the cause.
- The sport, the site, the slate name, and the lock time.
- The build tab name and the lineup count.
- The action you took and the time you took it, to the minute.
- Your plan, and whether it is paused or on trial.
- The device and the browser: desktop or phone, and the browser's name and version.
- For an entries problem, the entries CSV you uploaded, unedited.
- For a scheduled build, the playbook name and the Mission Report's Error block.
Do not send your password. The team never asks for it.
Feedback on a help article
Every article ends with Was this article helpful? and two buttons, Yes and No. The vote is anonymous and has no text box. Use the Discord or the contact form to tell the team what was missing.
The search box at the top of every Help Center page searches titles, excerpts, and body text. Search for the exact message on screen first; the troubleshooting sections quote every message the app shows.
