DFS Hero ships four playbook presets, one for each interview style. They are strategies, not sport templates: each one sets the build mode, the lineup count, the selection mode, the fill, and the export. Cash Single Entry also turns randomness and the Correlation dial off. The other presets leave the sport's defaults for the advanced settings. Every preset opens in the editor, so you can change anything before you save.
Power plan. Playbooks need an active Power subscription.
The four presets
| Preset | Build mode | Lineups | Selection | Fill |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cash Single Entry | Build Only | 150 | Highest Ranked, ranked by Projection | On, the same top lineup in every contest |
| GPP Single Entry | Build & Sim | 2,500 | Highest Ranked, ranked by ROI | On |
| GPP Multi-Entry | Build & Sim | 5,000 | Win Paths | On |
| GPP Mass Multi-Entry | Build & Sim | 10,000 | Win Paths | On |
Every preset turns the Export stage on. Counts above your plan's build limit are cut to the limit: Essential builds up to 500 lineups per build, Power up to 10,000.
How the interview maps to the presets
Each style card in the interview picks the preset of the same name. The count you choose next replaces the preset's count, and Keep a pool for me to review removes the Fill stage.
What each preset is for
Cash Single Entry. A double-up or 50/50 needs one safe lineup. Build Only skips the sim. Smart Randomness and the Correlation dial are off, so the pool holds the highest projected lineups with no forced stacks. Highest Ranked by Projection puts the optimal lineup first, and the fill puts that lineup into every cash contest.
GPP Single Entry. A single-entry or 3-max tournament rewards a lineup with a real chance at the top. Highest Ranked by ROI puts the best simulated lineup first.
GPP Multi-Entry. For 3 to 20 entries per contest. Win Paths picks entries that win in as many different simulated outcomes as possible, so your entries do not all live or die on the same player.
GPP Mass Multi-Entry. For 20 to 150 entries per contest. The same Win Paths selection over a 10,000-lineup pool, so the selector has the most shapes to choose from.
What a preset does not set
- Stack rules. The GPP presets keep the Correlation dial at Auto. To stack a set shape, open Advanced builder settings in the Build stage and arm a rule in the Stacks tab. See Stacks tab.
- Exposure caps and sport rules. The sport's defaults apply. The GPP presets also keep the sport's default randomness.
- Guardrails. Add them in the Guardrails stage.
- A schedule. See Schedule a cloud build.
Tips
- Start from GPP Multi-Entry for most tournament play. Lower the count if build time matters more than pool depth.
- A playbook covers one site. Duplicate a preset-based playbook for the other site.
- Replay a preset-based playbook on past slates before you trust it with real entries.
