Manage playbooks

Last updated Oct 15, 2026

The Playbooks library lists every playbook on your account as a card: sport, site, mode, build mode, lineup count, selection mode, and a record once you replay it. The Actions menu on a card holds everything you do with a playbook: edit, schedule, replay, set it as the default, turn on auto-schedule, duplicate, or delete.

Power plan. The library needs an active Power subscription.

Before you start

Open the library

Click Playbooks in the top navigation. From the workspace, open the Playbook dropdown and click Manage Playbooks. On the Day View, click the Playbooks chip in the filter row. Close playbooks or Escape returns you to the page you came from.

Filters

Type in Search playbooks... to filter by name. Scheduled shows only playbooks with a queued cloud run of their own. The sport, site, and mode chips narrow the list further. Cards sort by activity: running first, then scheduled, then recently run.

The card

A filled star marks the default playbook for its sport and site. Running, Scheduled, and Replaying mark a live cloud run, a queued run, and a Replay in progress.

A new playbook has no record. Replay it on past slates before you schedule it; the card then shows Net, ROI, and Best over the replayed slates. A queued run adds a pencil (Edit schedule) that opens the Scheduled builds sheet for this playbook.

A card in amber reads "Needs reconfiguration". Its saved settings could not be read. Open it with Edit, set the stages, and save. Until then its menu offers Edit, Set as Default, Duplicate, and Delete only.

ItemWhat it does
EditOpens the editor. See The playbook editor.
Schedule for a slate…Schedules a cloud run on one of today's slates. See Schedule a cloud build.
Replay the pastOpens Replay for this playbook. See Replay.
Set as Default / Remove DefaultMakes this playbook the default for its sport and site, or clears it. One default per sport and site.
Auto-scheduleOn the default playbook only: Off, or 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 min before lock.
DuplicateCopies the playbook, with the option to change sport, site, or mode.
DeleteDeletes the playbook after a confirmation.

Set a default and auto-schedule

The default playbook sits at the top of the workspace dropdown with a star and is preselected in the Automate builds sheet. Only the default can auto-schedule.

With Auto-schedule on, every entries upload for a slate of that sport, site, and mode schedules a cloud build at the chosen lead. Pick Off to stop it.

Duplicate

  1. Choose Duplicate.
  2. Change Sport, Site, or Mode if you want. When you switch one, sport-specific settings (stacks, player and team filters) are stripped from the copy.
  3. Click Duplicate. The copy is named "<name> (Copy)" and is never the default.

This is the only way to move a playbook to another sport, site, or mode, because those fields lock after the first save.

Delete

Choose Delete, then click Delete in the confirmation. A deleted playbook cannot be restored.

Apply a playbook to a build

A playbook can seed a normal build without running as a playbook. Only the build settings load; the Select, Fill, and Export stages do not run.

  1. Open a slate and click Build.
  2. Click the playbook icon in the sheet header and choose Apply playbook.
  3. Click a playbook. The dialog lists the playbooks of the slate's sport, site, and mode, and tags an unreadable one Needs setup.
  4. Adjust anything and click Build.

Tips

  • Keep one default per sport and site, and name it so the star makes sense at a glance, for example "NFL GPP 20-max".
  • Use Duplicate to make a FanDuel twin of a DraftKings playbook, then fix the stack rule in the copy.
  • Replay a playbook before you set it as default. A record on the card beats a guess.
  • Cancel a playbook's queued run before you delete or shrink it. Both actions are refused while a run is queued.

Troubleshooting
