Golf

Last updated Sep 6, 2026

Golf is a 4-day event, and one lineup rides the whole tournament. There are no teams, no games, and no stacks. Every golfer scores on his own. DFS Hero supports golf on DraftKings and FanDuel with a 6-golfer roster, and the workspace hides every team-based control.

The DraftKings golf Showdown slate has no captain slot. All 6 slots are plain golfer slots at normal salary and normal scoring. There are no team or game limits.

The Player Pool

Golf has no position tabs and no Team or Opp columns. With Advanced Mode on, the multiplier columns run from 10X to 13.5X: the chance a golfer returns that many points per $1,000 of salary. Optimal shows how often a golfer lands in the winning lineup across the simulated tournaments, and that share already reflects cut risk.

Build Settings

Golf has no sport rules and no Stacks or Min/Max tab. Use the Exposure tab and the Min Exp and Max Exp columns to control how often each golfer appears. Min Unique Players goes up to 5.

The Groups tab is where golf players set tee-time and course-fit rules, for example "At Least 2 of these golfers" for a wave of morning tee times, or an If/Then rule that pairs a golfer with a cheaper golfer from the same tee wave.

How the sim treats golf

The contest simulator draws whole-event outcomes, so linked golfer results move together; the per-game Game Sim panel is not available for this sport. Read the sim results as a ranking of your lineups against each other, not as a promise of a finish.

Tips

  • The cut is the whole game. A golfer who misses the cut scores two rounds instead of four. Weight your pool toward golfers with a high Optimal share.
  • In a large GPP, use Aggressive Smart Randomness and a Max Exposure % of 30 to 40. Golf outcomes are wide, and a flat pool spreads your entries across more finish orders.
  • In cash and 50/50 contests, build around 4 golfers with the best make-cut odds, set Smart Randomness to Minimum, and let the last 2 slots find value.
  • Use Max Total Ownership % in CONSTRAINTS to keep a part of your GPP entries under the chalk. Golf ownership clusters on 5 or 6 names every week.
  • Build early in the week and rebuild after the final field and tee times are set.
  • Weather splits a field by tee wave. When one wave gets the calm side of the draw, use a group rule to hold at least 3 golfers from that wave.
