League of Legends is a DraftKings-only esport in DFS Hero. Slates follow the regional leagues, so a slate can lock in the early morning for LCK and LPL or in the afternoon for LCS and LEC. The roster carries a CPT slot inside a classic lineup, and the team cap of 4 allows the common 4-3 split.
Sites and formats
| Site | Format | Roster | Salary cap |
|---|---|---|---|
| DraftKings | Classic | CPT, TOP, JNG, MID, ADC, SUP, TEAM (7 slots) | $50,000 |
Slot rules that matter:
- The CPT slot takes any player or the TEAM entry. It scores 1.5 times the points and costs 1.5 times the salary.
- A player can fill only one slot. The CPT is a second copy of a player at 1.5 times the price, not a second roster spot.
- A lineup holds at most 4 players from one team and needs players from at least 2 games.
The Player Pool
Each player appears twice: one base row and one CPT row at 1.5 times the salary and projection. A lock or an exclusion on the CPT row applies only to captaining. A lock on the base row puts the player in his role slot in every lineup. An exclusion on the base row removes the whole player.
Build Settings
Sport Rules
Open Build, then expand SPORT RULES on the Basic tab.
| Control | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| CPT Position | Limits the CPT slot to the positions you pick: TOP, JNG, MID, ADC, SUP. When you switch it on, DFS Hero suggests MID and ADC. | Off |
| Offense vs Team | Caps how many players in a lineup play against the team in your TEAM slot. Auto, the default, allows none; nearly all real top-1% lineups face no player of their TEAM entry's opponent. Manual sets your own Allow number. | Auto |
| Allow … players vs your TEAM pick | In Manual, the number of opposing players Offense vs Team allows. Range 0 to 5. | 0 |
Min Unique Players goes up to 6.
Stacks
League of Legends uses Team Stack rules only. Each rule sets a Stack Size from 2 to 4, an optional Max exp %/team, and a For Teams list. No stack is on by default.
Min/Max
The site caps a lineup at 4 players from one team, and MAX PLAYERS PER TEAM can only go lower.

Stack shapes
The winning team scores almost all of the points in a match, so the standard shape is 4-3: 4 slots from the favorite in one match, including the TEAM entry, plus 3 slots from the favorite in another match. The CPT is usually the MID or ADC of the 4-stack. The cap alone only permits it; add two Team Stack rules, one with Stack Size 4 and one with Stack Size 3, when you want every lineup in this shape.
Tips
- Pick the CPT from the MID and ADC of the team you expect to win. Switch on CPT Position and keep the suggested MID and ADC picks.
- Leave Offense vs Team on Auto, or set it to Manual with a low Allow value. Rostering players who face your TEAM entry means one side of the lineup loses every time.
- In a GPP, build for the upset in one match. A 4-stack from an underdog at low ownership is the fastest way to a top finish.
- In cash contests, stack the two biggest favorites on the slate and let the optimizer fill the last slot with the best value SUP.
- Slates with 2 games hold few unique lineups. Raise Min Unique Players to 2 or 3 and keep the lineup count modest.
- Match counts differ by league. Best-of-3 and best-of-5 series score more than a single map, so check the game count before you build.
