MMA is a fight card, not a game. Every fighter scores alone, one fighter in each fight wins, and a finish pays far more than a decision. DFS Hero supports MMA on DraftKings and FanDuel, and the workspace hides every team-based control.
Sites and formats
| Site | Format | Roster | Budget |
|---|---|---|---|
| DraftKings | Classic | F, F, F, F, F, F (6 fighters) | $50,000 |
| FanDuel | Classic | MVP, F, F, F, F, F (6 fighters) | 100 points |
Slot rules that matter:
- The FanDuel MVP slot scores 1.5 times the fighter's points at the fighter's normal salary. Every FanDuel MMA lineup has one MVP.
- FanDuel prices fighters in a 100-point budget, not dollars. The Salary Range field in Build Settings uses the same scale.
- There are no team or fight-count limits. The only fight-level rule is the sport rule below.
The Player Pool
DraftKings shows no position tabs. On FanDuel each fighter appears twice: one base row and one MVP row at the same salary and 1.5 times the projection. With Advanced Mode on, the DraftKings multiplier columns run from 10X to 13.5X.
Build Settings
Sport Rules
Open Build, then expand SPORT RULES on the Basic tab.
| Control | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Allow Fighters From Same Fight | Lets a lineup roster both fighters from one fight. When it is off, every lineup takes at most one fighter per fight. | Off |
Min Unique Players goes up to 5.
Stacks, Min/Max, and Groups
MMA has no Stacks or Min/Max tab. Use the Exposure tab and the Min Exp and Max Exp columns to control how often each fighter appears. Use the Groups tab for card-level rules, for example "At Most 2 of these fighters" for the underdogs you want spread across the pool, or an If/Then rule that pairs a favorite with a cheaper fighter you like on the same card.
Features that apply
| Feature | MMA support |
|---|---|
| Late Swap | Not available. After the first fight starts, no lineup can change. |
| StackIQ | Not available. |
| Game Sim | Not available. |
| Hero Chat pivots | Not available. |
How the sim treats MMA
The contest simulator draws whole-event outcomes, so linked fighter results move together; the per-game Game Sim panel is not available for this sport. Read the sim results as a ranking of your lineups against each other.
Tips
- Keep Allow Fighters From Same Fight off. Two fighters from one fight cap each other, because only one of them wins.
- Favorites with a high finish rate score the most. Sort by Optimal to see which fighters land in the winning lineup most often across the simulated cards.
- In a large GPP, use Aggressive Smart Randomness and a Max Exposure % of 40. A card of 12 fights has few paths, and a flat pool covers more of them.
- In cash contests, take the 4 or 5 biggest favorites, set Smart Randomness to Minimum, and let the last slot find value.
- Use Max Total Ownership % in CONSTRAINTS to force a share of your GPP entries under the chalk. MMA ownership stacks on 4 or 5 fighters every card.
- On FanDuel, put the MVP on the fighter with the highest finish chance, not the biggest favorite. A first-round finish at 1.5 times the points wins the slate.
