Lineup cards and table

Last updated Oct 13, 2026

Each lineup in the lineups panel is a card with the numbers a DFS player checks first: projection, salary, the ownership sum, and the stack shape. Expand a card to see every player. The table view packs the same lineups into one row each.

Before you start

Read a card

  1. Open the Entries Preview tab.
  2. Compare each card's header row: the rank, the projection, the salary, the ownership sum, and the stack badge.
  3. Below the header, the card lists the players in roster order.
  4. Click the card header to expand it.

  1. The expanded card shows every player with the columns below and a footer with the lineup totals. After a simulation the footer adds Win%, Top 0.1%, Top 1%, Top 5%, Cash%, and Leverage. A contest too small for a Top band leaves that band out. On a contest's card in Entries Preview, Paths takes the place of Leverage when that contest's sim tracked Win Paths.
  2. Hover the card header and click the Trash icon to move that one lineup to the Trash accordion.
  3. Click a player row inside the expanded card to open the Player Swap dialog for that slot.

Use the table view

  1. Click the Table view icon at the top right of the panel.

  1. Each row shows #, the ROSTER, PROJ, and OWN%. A wide panel adds OPT% and Salary, and after a simulation ROI, Win%, and Cash%. A contest whose sim tracked Win Paths also adds Paths. OPT% is the same total as the card's Opt footer.
  2. Hover a row and click Trash lineup at its right end to trash it.
  3. Click the Card view icon to return to cards.

What each element means

ElementWhat it means
#NBefore a simulation, the build order. After a simulation, the list position.
ProjectionThe sum of the lineup's player projections.
SalaryThe total salary.
Ownership sumThe sum of the players' projected ownership. A value over 100% is normal because it is a sum.
Stack badgeThe stack shape and its teams. Classic NFL and CFB show the quarterback pattern: QB + 2 KC is a Kansas City quarterback with two teammates, and QB + 1 PHI | 2 CHI adds two players from the opponent. Other team sports show a count for each team, for example 4 NYM | 2 BOS. Showdown counts every player, the DST included, so five players from one team read 5 KC. Individual sports show no badge.
POS, PLAYER, PROJ, OWNThe roster slot, the player, the player's projection, and the player's projected ownership. Captain slates show CPT or MVP.
Line tag (NHL)The text after a skater's name. L1 is his line, or his pair for a defenseman, and PP2 is his power-play unit. Goalies show no tag.
Batting order (MLB)The number after a hitter's name is his spot in the batting order. A green dot means his team posted its lineup. A yellow dot means the order is projected. Pitchers show no number.
OPTThe player's Hero Optimal rate: the share of simulated worlds in which the player is in the winning lineup.
OPPThe opponent. @ marks a road game, vs a home game.
SALARY, VALUEThe player's salary and projection per $1,000 of salary. Shown when the panel is wide enough.
Opt (footer)The sum of the players' optimal rates.
Val (footer)Projection per $1,000 of salary for the whole lineup.
Best Win%, Best Top 1%, and similar badgesAfter a simulation, the lineup leads the working set in that metric.
Paths (Entries Preview)On a card under a contest or a scenario, in place of Lev: the simulated games in which the lineup finished in that field's top 1%. Win Paths picks lineups by them. A sim that did not track Win Paths keeps Lev.
Exp. ROIAfter a simulation, the expected return per $1 entered. Positive is an expected profit.

How it works

The rank on a card is the build order until you simulate, so #536 in position 2 means the optimizer produced that lineup 536th and your Selection method ranked it second. After a simulation the number is the list position under the current Rank by.

The line tag and the batting order come from the current projections, so they change when a team changes its lines or posts its lineup before lock.

The Player Swap dialog replaces one player in one lineup. It lists every eligible player for that slot with Proj, Own, Opt, Sal, and Value, sorted by projection. A search box filters by name or team. The list only holds players whose game has not started, and a seat whose game has started cannot be swapped. Proj shows the projection source your build uses, so a My Proj build lists My Proj values. A swap that would copy another lineup in the pool is refused. Click Swap on a row. The swap edits that lineup only.

Tips

  • Read the ownership sum against the contest. A sum near 250% in a large tournament is a chalk lineup that many others also hold.
  • Use the stack badge to spot lineups that break your stacking plan before you export.
  • Expand a card and check OPT. A lineup full of low-optimal players is a contrarian lineup, not a mistake, but you should know which one you hold.
  • Trash from the card when one lineup bothers you. Use the exposure grid when a player bothers you across many lineups.

Troubleshooting

"No eligible players found" : the Player Swap search excludes every candidate, or every player who fits the slot and the salary has a game that already started. Clear the search box.

A card shows no stack badge : the lineup has no real stack, or the sport has no teams. Both are normal.

A card shows <0.1% for Win% : the simulated contest is too large to resolve a smaller win probability.

A card shows <0.01% : the chance is too small to show at two decimals. The sort and the filters still read the exact number.
