Post-sim tools

Last updated Oct 14, 2026

A sim gives every lineup a set of numbers. The post-sim tools are the parts of the lineups panel that use them: FilterIQ to browse the Pool by any metric, Trash to remove lineups from everything downstream, the per-scenario picker to fill one contest by a different method, and the hand-off into Fill, export, and Late Swap.

Before you start

FilterIQ

FilterIQ is the funnel button on the Pool tab. It narrows what you browse. It never changes the working set, a fill, a sim, or the Entries Preview downloads. Download Pool (Detailed) writes the lineups the filtered Pool shows.

  1. Click the Pool tab in the lineups panel.
  2. Click the funnel button next to the Rank by control.
  3. Click Add filter and pick a field: Projection, Salary, Ownership, Value, Optimal when every lineup in the pool was built since Sep 20, 2026, and after a sim ROI, Win Prob, Cash%, Top 1%, Top 5%, Leverage, Floor, Ceiling, GeoMean. The sim filters read the contest picked beside Rank by.
  4. Set the range. The Values switch flips between percentiles and raw values. Several filters combine with AND.
  5. Click Apply. Click Reset to clear every filter.

Power plan. The HERO AI box at the top of the popover turns a sentence into filters. Type a request such as "Remove lineups with ROI below 0" and click Build it.

Trash

Trash removes a lineup from the working set, from exports, from fills, and from the next sim.

  • Hover a card and click the trash icon in its header.
  • Click the Trash row at the bottom of the panel to restore a lineup, or Empty Trash to delete the trashed lineups for good.
  • After you trash, click Re-Simulate. The sim numbers belong to the pool that was simulated.

FilterIQ and Trash pair up. Filter the Pool to the lineups you do not want, then click Trash All.

The per-scenario picker

Each scenario band has a dropdown to the right of its ROI badge. It fills that contest from the full pool by the method you choose: Highest Ranked, Win Paths, Balanced Exposure, or Min Uniques, with the contest's own Rank by for the methods that rank by a metric. The override stays when you change the panel's Selection, so each contest can take its own method in the same run. See Select and rank after a sim.

The lineups menu

Click the three-dot button in the panel header.

ItemWhat it does
Save as playbookSaves the build, sim, and Selection as a playbook to run on other slates. Power.
ReplayOpens the Contests panel, where you score the working set against a completed contest. Shown once the slate has final scores and at least one of its contests has a saved leaderboard.
Upload Entries / Download Contest EntriesImports your entries CSV, or exports the file you upload back to the site.
Download Entries Preview (Detailed) / Download Pool (Detailed)The lineups with their stats. The sim metrics ride along.

Hand-off to Fill and Swap

With an entries CSV on the slate, the footer of the Entries Preview tab holds the Fill N button and the fill state. Contest Setup holds the per-contest FILL FROM picker, the priority, and the duplicates policy. See Contest Setup and Fill.

After lock, the Swap button in the workspace bar opens the Swap sheet for the entries you filled. Swap reads the same pool and the same sim numbers. See Run a late swap.

How it works

The working set is the list under Entries Preview. Selection and the band pickers choose it from the pool minus the Trash. FilterIQ only changes what the Pool tab lists. A fill, a playbook save, and a Replay all read the working set, so a lineup you filtered out still ships unless you trash it. An export reads your saved entries.

Tips

  • Filter by ROI to the bottom of the pool within a scenario and click Trash All. Rank within the contest; in a raked contest the whole pool can sit below zero, so zero is not a cutoff.
  • Use Leverage percentiles rather than raw values. The raw range shifts by slate.
  • Download Entries Preview (Detailed) before you export. The file keeps the sim numbers next to every lineup.
  • Trash, then Re-Simulate, then fill. That order keeps every number honest.

Troubleshooting

"Showing X of Y" : a FilterIQ filter is active. Click Reset to see every lineup.

"Exposures return when this run lands" : the Player Exposure grid is paused while a sim runs. Wait for the run.

"N entries repeat a lineup. The pool is short." : the working set needs more lineups than the pool holds after Trash. Restore lineups or rebuild with a larger count.

"N repeat a lineup (short of distinct lineups)" : your entries outnumber the distinct lineups the method found. Build a larger pool, or lower the Min Uniques bar.

"Min/Max caps are not enforced for this contest, its allocation repeats a lineup." : build a larger pool or lower that contest's My Entries.
