Tennis

Last updated Sep 6, 2026

Tennis is a DraftKings-only sport in DFS Hero. A slate is a session of matches at one tournament, and every player scores alone. A straight-sets win pays far more than a three-set loss, so the sport rewards picking winners more than picking value.

There are no team or match-count limits. The only match-level rule is the sport rule below.

The Player Pool

Tennis has no position tabs and no Team or Opp columns. With Advanced Mode on, the multiplier columns run from 10X to 13.5X.

Stacks, Min/Max, and Groups

How the sim treats tennis

The contest simulator draws whole-event outcomes, so linked player results move together; the per-game Game Sim panel is not available for this sport. Read the sim results as a ranking of your lineups against each other.

Tips

  • Keep Allow Players From Same Match off. Two players from one match cap each other, because only one of them wins.
  • Sort by Optimal. Heavy favorites who win in straight sets land in the winning lineup most often, and the column already reflects that.
  • In a large GPP, use Aggressive Smart Randomness and a Max Exposure % of 40. A session has few matches, so a flat pool covers more finish orders.
  • In cash contests, take the 4 biggest favorites, set Smart Randomness to Minimum, and let the last 2 slots find value.
  • Watch the Hero Own column on the top seeds. When one favorite draws 50% ownership, a lineup without her needs only one upset to pass half the field.
  • Build close to lock. A withdrawal empties a match, and a rebuild after the news keeps the pool clean.
